2017 - Day 117/248 - Thursday...

The poor, poor little crab apple tree in the front of the house has struggled to survive for the nine years that we have lived in this house. Every year we pronounce it dead, and every year it FINALLY puts out a few leaves and FINALLY puts out a blossom or two. So far this year, there is ONE blossom on the tree, but it is a beauty! Very healthy and robust looking, but I fear that the tree put its entire effort into this one bloom. There are several leaves on the tree as well, but it would never win any beauty contests. It is more like a Charlie Brown crab apple tree But, we will keep working with what we have been given, and it may just surprise us all one day and burst forth with vigor and vitality. That is kind of the story of my life! I too am a late bloomer. It was a day of good accomplishments, and for that I am proud. Good stuff done.
