Volume 17 - Day 324/41, 2025 - Thursday

We got a trace of rain off-and-on today, and finally this afternoon, we got a couple good showers. Now, it is still dribbling a little bit, I just went and checked the gauge, and so far 0.29". That is a good start. Jimmie, Dick, Paul and I walked this morning, and that was fun. Later in the morning, I went to Target (dog food and dog treats), I stopped at the little white car dealership and made an appointment for next Tuesday for regular service. I thin had a couple other stops before getting back to the Curious House. I had a 1:30 appointment, and then about an hour later, Jimmie and Linda and I went to Salt Trader for dinner. I had the fried fish and shrimp platter. It has been a while. Paulina came over at about 4:30, and we took off to Costco, so I can cross that off my list. I have worked for many years to convince people that I am helpless, and I think it is working. On Tuesday, Jimmie and Linda brought me food. Last night (I think it was last night) Kyung and James brought me food. Tonight, Billy and Gina brought me food. My neighbors are really generous and fun to hang around with. I also got the PowerBall pool going again, so we have that covered. Now, I am going to go get in the big chair and wait for more rain. I have never had a planter of impatiens look more beautiful than this, and I hope I can repeat it next year. They will still be good for a while, no freezing weather in the forecast...yet.
