Volume 17 - Day 245/120, 2025 - Tuesday

So, for most of the day I have been thinking today was Monday. Now I know it is Tuesday. I have been awake for most of the last eleven hours or so, there was a nap somewhere along the line, and so far, we have stopped at thirteen places. The next stop will be Cumberland, Maryland, and we are going to travers Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana and Illinois before about 9 o'clock tomorrow morning. The train is running about an hour late right now, but I don't really care, since my layover in Chicago is about 5 hours. Much of the day has been spent traveling alongside rivers and creeks, or close to lakes and hills. Very pretty. Right now, for about the last 30 minutes, there is a pretty river outside my window, and it is interesting to see all the different things. I had steak again for dinner tonight, and it was equally as god as last night. I also have a glass of Cabernet in a go cup, so I am set for the rest of the evening. I sat with a nice couple at lunch, Drew and Terri, and I will try to meet a few more before Thursday. The tables in the dining car are very small and don't lend themselves to more than a couple people. Something interesting...I don't know how many cars I am away from the engine, but when we get close to crossings, I can hear the whistle, and it sounds far away, and I like that sound!
