So, it was another good day for a morning walk, and Jimmie joined me and Paul. After the walk, it was a nice breakfast at Monument Cafe. Omelet with mushrooms, Swiss cheese and bacon. A side of bacon. Sour dough bread with strawberry preserves. A complimentary biscuit. No potatoes. A side of spinach (gotta keep the iron levels up). It is now about ten hours later and I should be hungry, but I am really not. I think I could easily gothrough life with one decent meal a day, but I don't. I did have some of the soup Gina brought over this morning, and that was good, very good. But I expect I will start foraging around in the pantry close to the time when I am getting ready for bed. Historically, that is the routine. Across the street from the cafe, they have been building a new structure for about a year, not sure when it will be completed. The first several floors of the building are a parking garage, and on the side, they have painted two murals. The photo accompanying this entry is one of the murals. I don't really understand why they installed the murals on the SIDE of the building, but that is where they are. Interesting.Tuesday, September 30, 2025
