Richard and Paul and I had a nice walk this morning, and then later, we met Rick for our ROMEO breakfast. If it's Tuesday, it must be Total Stranger Tuesday. After the trauma of being rejected once last week, I picked my victim more carefully this morning. This lovely lady was amenable, once I told her I woud not share any of her personal information with any Jehovah Witnesses. That seemed to make her more comfortable. She mentioned that she was cautious because, I think about a week ago, she locked her keys (and her dog) in her car and could not get in. Four men approached her and asked if they could 'pray over' her. Well, that will teach her, and I bet she doesn't lock her keys (and her dog) in the car again. Thanks for being a really good sport! As I embrace my retirement more and more, I find I am less motivated to get too many things accomplished on any given day. I was able to get a couple things done today, an that was plenty. Honestly, I got more than a couple things done, but I don't want to brag. Tomorrow will be a busy day; I need to be in Austin at about 7:30 to get on a bus with many of my colleagues and show up at the Capitol to visit our Legislators. An annual thing for the past fifteen years or so, and I am contemplating that this might be my last one. It's time to step back, and do even less. I also got Mike's and my room reserved at Heathrow for our return from Europe on July 1st. I think most of the arrangements are complete now, and now we are just waiting to leave.
