I has been a dribbly, rainy and cloudy day here at the Curious House. But that is okay! I checked my rain gauge about 3 hours ago, and we had received about .40". I had continued dribbling and is supposed to dribble through tomorrow, so we may have a pretty good bit of rain on the ground by the time it is over. For sure I can turn the sprinkler off for this weekend, and maybe there will be no walk tomorrow morning. Speaking of walks, Richard and I had a nice walk this morning, Paul is in Florida, visiting with his brother who is ill. He is expected back on Sunday. I did not get much accomplished today, and that is okay. I did a few things, and got a little bit of business taken care of. On this day in 2014, eleven years ago today, I was attending a meeting in NYC, and one of my colleagues bet me $100 that I would not have my picture taken with one of the speakers, Karl Rove. It is pretty well know that I have done a lot worse for a lot less, and the photo accompanying this journal entry is proof. Anybody want to bet me anything?
