Volume 17 - Day 114/251, 2025 - Thursday

We always have a great time at Book Club, even if not everybody likes the book. I was going to read The Catcher in the Rye, and I mentioned it last month, so we decided that would be our book for April. Half of us (a tie) didn't care for the book, and I admit I still have 25 pages to finish, and rumor has it, the last 25 pages are the best pages, and I may change my mind about the book when I finish. We'll see. Next months book is The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the original version. We are not against reading books like this one, we expect it will be a lot different than the movie that we have all seen a dozen times. That is what happened when we read Frankenstein, totally different that all the movies. In October, we have already decided to read Dracula. We always try for food and door prizes that are mentioned in the book, and Judy outdid herself. The photo accompanying this entry is her Apple Brown Betty. I have never had Apple Brown Betty, and it was delicious. And all the food before that was great, too. I won't even talk about the door prizes, but if you ever walk in front of my house, you will see the one that I took home. We had a good walk this morning, and a little bit of rain during the day. It has cooled off nicely, and it is about 67 degrees outside the Curious House right now. Tomorrow will be a calm day, I have a couple chores to take care of, and there are eight estate sales we will visit on Saturday. That about wraps this entry up!
