Today was one of those things that I decided to do stuff, and it all worked out okay. After the walk, I had a ten o'clock appointment, and that went with no issues. I had thought earlier that I would go see a movie, and so I did. I get free movie tickets now and then for donating blood/platelets/plasma, so I used one. Several that I had were expired (last year) but I still had more left that were still good. I went to see Eddington, which was nothing like an earlier review that I had read. Here is the most accurate review I have seen, During the COVID-19 pandemic, a standoff between a small-town sheriff and mayor sparks a powder keg as neighbor is pitted against neighbor in Eddington, NM. That is pretty accurate, and an earlier review said the movie was a 'comedy/western.' No. It. Isn't. But it was good, critically acclaimed, and I would recommend it, if you were to ask. During parts of the movie, I decided I was not old enough or smart enough to understand it, but now I am pretty comfortable with it. After the movie, Paulina and Oliver came over and we went in to Georgetown for dinner, and then made a stop at Costco. Now I don't need to go to Costco for another month, and I am okay with that. I don't have a lot of stuff planned for the weekend, but there are seven estate sales tomorrow, and that will be fun. The second half of the Billy Joel documentary comes on in 15 minutes, and I am happy that Paulina mentioned it earlier, because I had already forgotten about it. The first half was on last last Friday. I expect it will be worth remembering.Friday, July 25, 2025
