It was kind of a long and busy day, as evidenced by the fact that it is 9:39PM, and I am just beginning the journal entry for the day! It was warmer this morning than yesterday, but I kind of panicked when I got up and saw the temperature was 36 degrees. I put the plants back outside yesterday afternoon, and I did not think it would be quite this chilly this morning. I lucked out though, I don't think any of the plants suffered. I will bring them back inside on Friday because we are going to have three or four days with low temperatures in the 20s, and some days the highs not getting out of the 30s. I expect the plants, the girls and I will all survive this first world inconvenience. After our walk this morning, I went to the ROMEO breakfast, and it was very leisurely. The wait staff now knows our names, which is kind of interesting, but we like it. After breakfast, I had a doctor's appointment, and got another shot of cortisone in my left knee. I thought I was on a six month rotation, but I am actually on a three month rotation, and this was my third shot, so we will see just how long these shots are effective. After the shot, I came home and thought about taking a nap, but I just couldn't work it in. I did a little work in the office, and then I went over to Val and Paulina's for a while, and then it was time for book club. We actually talked about the book (The Apprenticeship of Duddy Kravitz) more tonight than we usually do, which was fun! Of course, I forgot to take a photo of the group, so just use your imagination. The photo accompanying this entry is of a vehicle, the driver of which makes me think I should be carrying a baseball bat in the car. If you want to know all the details, I will tell you separately, but I will report that the whole thing was the other drivers fault, not mine! UGH!Tuesday, January 20, 2026
