Volume 18 - Day 28/337, 2026 - Wednesday

We did a half-walk this morning, just to be confident that we did not encounter any icy patches. Half a walk was good for me, I had a meeting in Austin that started at 9:15, so that gave me plenty of time. Driving to Austin included a bit of road rage (miniature rage) on my part. I hate it when I am signaling to make a lane-change, and the driver that I am trying to merge in front of suddenly finds their accelerator and 'screams' past me. So annoying and unkind. We exchanged a series of salutes for a few miles, and then it was over. I made it to the meeting with plenty of time, and returned to the Curious House at about 1:30. I watered all the plants that have been inside the garage and the house, and I think they are going to stay inside for at least another week. I just checked the forecast, and it looks like I can put plants back outside on Sunday. I am sure they will be happy, and I know I will be happy to have them back out with the sunshine. I went to dinner tonight with Jimmie and Linda, and they are going to be gone for a few days, and I am to be the custodian of any packages they may receive, including a King Cake they are expecting. I am not sure if there will be any left when they get back, but they have to take the good with the bad. I just hope I don't swallow the baby!
