Volume 18 - Day 29/336, 2026 - Thursday

We did a full walk this morning, and it was good to be back to (kind of) normal. I think it was 36 degrees when I got out of bed, so it was even a little bit warmer. The overnights are still forecast to be below freezing, but if things go as forecast, I can put the plants back outside on Monday. The overnights will not be below freezing for at least four days beginning on Monday, and I know the plants will appreciate that. I will be happy to have them back outside for a while, too.  I had a couple appointments this morning and a zoom call this afternoon. Otherwise, I did not get out of the Curious House except to check the mail, and go out with the girls. I have a luncheon meeting in Austin tomorrow, and a couple errands that I can run on the way there. Honestly, it was a beautiful day in central Texas, the high temperature got to the low 70s, and there was plenty of sunshine. Evidence of a lovely beginning of the day is documented above. I almost forgot...I had decided not to replace the garbage disposal, just because it is such a challenge getting vendors to do what the say they will do. While we were walking, Richard suggested that I try the neighborhood handyman, so I did. He went to Home Depot, got a new disposal and installed it within a couple hours of my text to him. I guess it was just meant to be, and so it was!
