Volume 18 - Day 5/360, 2025 - Monday

Not a bad day if I do say so myself. We had a nice walk this morning, it was a bit warmer, and it is supposed to be warmer yet tomorrow, and then another 'cold' front over the weekend. I spent a good bit of the day making appointments for tomorrow; one with the critter people to give me a bid for ridding the attic of 'critters,' and one with a painter to come out and give me a bid for painting the fence and the underpinning. Tomorrow, after the walk, we will have the first ROMEO dinner of this year, and that is always fun. I am doing my best to eat some kiwi every day to help build up platelets. I bought some kiwi, and was not happy with the way I was getting the fruit out of it. Gina brought me some kiwi that she peeled, and they were lovely. Apparently, the trick to peeling them is to use a potato peeler. Okay, I think that is a good idea, but...after looking everywhere I could think to look, I could not find a potato peeler. I know there has to have been two or three potato peelers, but I could not find one. HEB to the rescue, and now I have the peeler, I will let you know if it works in the next day or two.
