Volume 18 - Day 292/83, 2026 - Friday

Fake fall for this year is almost over, and the temperatures and humidity are both on the increase between now and this time next week. Maybe then, it will bring us the REAL fall, there is a cold (haha) front expected overnight next Thursday. Time will tell. Today was a good day, I stayed in bed a little bit longer than usual, but now that I am (kind of) really retired (for the most part), there is not that much I need to do in the early mornings. So, just take it as it comes. I did get all the plants watered after our walk, and I have turned the sprinklers back on, so I won't have that much to water in the morning. I did have an errand to run, so I headed in to Austin late morning, and got back home around 1PM. Before I left, I sent an email to to Christopher in Paris, letting him know of the two places I would like to visit during the short time I will be there, and can he arrange to take me. I could do both things (Versailles and Chateau de Lesigny) in the same day, or I could break it up into two days. I also have a couple pubs I would to visit while in Paris, but we will see...I may be trying to spread myself too thin. There are three estate sales tomorrow morning, and before that I am going to show James a lease property, and after that Paulina and I are going to Belton to have Frozen Yogurt and to pick up a pecan pie. Val and Paulina just want to 'test it out' to make sure they like it before they order more for Thanksgiving. Tomorrow evening, I will head back in to Austin to have dinner with my cousin Janet and her husband Lou. Tomorrow is turning out to be kind of a busy day! Oh, and the grapes were courtesy of Paulina.
