Volume 17 - Day 158/207, 2025 - Saturday

Well, this should come as no surprise to any of you, but it is hotter than Hell in central Texas. And it was only 94 degrees at the Curious House today. During our walk, we were all glistening (I don't perspire) before we were even half-way done. The sprinklers ran overnight, so watering plants was not an issue. I will need to water potted plants tomorrow, and some of them daily for the foreseeable future. After our walk, I had breakfast and took a quick snooze, and then Diane and I went to five estate sales. I bought one thing for $15 (25% off) and Diane bought a jigsaw puzzle. Not the greatest of all estate sales, but I really wasn't in the mood to buy stuff. There were lots of 'pretties,' but nothing really that I will be sorry for not having purchased. Jimmie and Linda and I went to Bon Aire in Austin for a late lunch/early dinner. I had a dozen peel 'em and eat 'em shrimp, and a pork kabob. Very good. My other neighbors Billy and Gena brought me a cinnamon roll after I got home on Thursday, and I still have about a third of it left. It was HUGE and really good. I expect it will be gone by this time tomorrow.
