Today has been a relatively busy day for a semi (mostly) retired person. I had stuff happening beginning at 10 o'clock this morning. Well, of course, that does not include our morning walk. The rain started about 3:30AM, and it actually work me up. We had 0.89" of rain in the gauge, and there is supposed to be more overnight. The radar looks like it may be raining while we are supposed to be walking, so that might make us forfeit the walk. A lot worse things could happen, that's for sure. The girls went to visit their new veterinarian this morning, and all that was okay, there is nothing pressing that needs to be done to either of them. Apparently they both have heart murmurs, though. I think the Piglet might be ten years old, and Callie might be nine years old. I have had them for eight years. Time flies. I am not going to go in to any details, but bureaucracy is a problem for me. I needed to have a paper signed by my doctor to go on my trip in November. We agreed I would be at his office between 12:30PM and 1:30PM. I was not allowed to see my doctor when I got there, one of the people at reception took the papers to him, and he signed them. Why could I not see my doctor when he was signing those papers? I have been going to the same doctor for about 30 years, and his new affiliation is not really working for me. On the other hand, I have no choice but to suck it up and play by their rules. I want a personal relationship with my medical professionals, and it is not possible anymore. Crap. New subject: The photo accompanying this journal entry was taken during our walk this morning, the clouds were really beautiful, and this was after the rain was over at the Curious House. If you zoom in, you will see our neighbor Josh walking two of his dogs...Gracie and Roo.Monday, June 9, 2025
