It's getting warmer and more humid, but it should cool down by (about) the 11th. That is my theory and I'm sticking with it. Paul and I had a good walk this morning, and I went in to Austin to have lunch with Jetta and Julie. That was much fun, and traffic was not as problematic as it was yesterday. I have not seen them in a couple years, and we sat and cut up, shared improper jokes, and basically reinforced in my little pea brain that I need to make a better effort. I got back to Georgetown in plenty of time to make it to my appointment and Galaxy Bakery (for scones), and Ike and I had a fun time bantering back and forth. Ike is usually in the back of the house, but today he was in the front. The other day, Paulina commented that Costco had totally skipped Thanksgiving, and went straight to Christmas with their decorations. I think she said Costco. Anyway, while Paul and I were walking this morning, one of the houses we pass is already displaying their Christmas tree. A little (or a lot) early for my liking, but they didn't ask me. So there. I did go to an estate sale this afternoon; interestingly, it started today at 4PM. I found that odd, but there was something I had my eye on, so I went. And I got it. And something else as well. I spent $38.97. Ful price for two items. There are a few more estate sales that I will hit tomorrow, donating platelets on Saturday, so I can't go then. Thursday, October 2, 2025
