It was another busy day, and I still don't have the running boards back on the Buzz. Next week? I hope so. Overnight, the weather was nice, we have not had any rain in 37 days, and the temperatures are going back up for the next several days. No windows left open tonight. Of course, there was a walk. I had an 11 o'clock appointment for another cortisone/steroid shot. Is cortisone the same thing as steroids? Yes, yes, they are the same thing. I learned that today. I also learned that the problem with my knee is arthritis. I have not been aware of that since the beginning of my knee problem, but, it seems to be so. But anyway, I got the shot, and we will see how it goes. Apparently, knee replacement should not be on my top ten list anymore, and I have been thinking I would need my knee replaced for decades. Oh, and every staff member on the second floor of the medical facility was at today came in to the room where I was waiting today. I was offered 'home ultrasound therapy' followed by the words 'it is covered by your insurance' which I declined, and made one of the people exit unhappily. Whatever. Then I picked up Paulina and we headed in to Austin for our platelet donations. We stopped at the pharmacy and I picked up prescriptions, and then got to the blood bank (We Are Blood), about 30 minutes early. Everything went well, we both donated, and now I am back home, kind of tired, and needing to rest up before hitting the estate sales tomorrow.Friday, October 17, 2025
