Volume 17 - Day 304/61, 2025 - Friday

Okay, Happy Halloween everybody. I sat out on the driveway from 5:30 until 7:15 and there were three kids that stopped at the Curious House. The FedEx guys got some candy, too, but I think there were ten or twelve kids last year. I just looked out the front window, there is NOTHING going on...so Halloween is just not as popular here as it was when I was growing up. Yes, I know, everything was different six decades ago. Whatever. Dick and I did another half-walk this morning, and I did a few things after that. Marian and I hit four estate sales, they were unremarkable, I spent $16. I took it easy for the rest of the day, and I did run a couple errands this afternoon. I am pretty sure I have everything under control to leave on my trip next week, not really concerned about any of it. Tomorrow, I will pick up Paulina in the morning, and we are going in to Austin to donate platelets. It is the first of the month tomorrow, so we are both eligible to donate. I won't donate again until about the 20th. Then it will time for me to worry about Thanksgiving dinner. Val, Paulina and Oliver are going to be here, and it will be fun. Maybe a movie or something after dinner, it is still early. And it seems like trick-or-treaters are getting more mature looking every year!
