Volume 17 - Day 242/123, 2025 - Saturday

Today was a busy and fun day. I was surprised that I slept as long as I did, I did not get out of bed until about 9AM Eastern. We rallied and headed in to Miami. On the way, the rent car decided to threaten us with overheating, and we stopped at a Shell station to add coolant. We were at the Shell station for about 30 minutes. Apparently, the Shell station had the only operating men's room in a five mile radius, and there was a line for that. We (Val and Mike) got the coolant, Paulina called the rental company to complain (it didn't work) and I was in and out of the store part of the station buying Diet Cokes and Lottery tickets. Then, we were off again. We drove around Miami and many of its' various parts, and I enjoyed doing that. We drove past Mike's former houses that was also next door to Dick's grandfather's house on Alton Road. We got in to Little Havana for lunch, walked around, Val bought three cigars, Paulina bought some stuff, and, so far, I have only bought Diet Cokes. When we got home, it was time for a nap, but before the nap, I finished my piece of carrot cake from last night, THEN went down for a nap. It rained off-and-on, but the thunder was the best part. We had pizza for dinner, and, are you sitting down(?), we have watched football. I never watch football, but here I sit. Tomorrow will be another fun day, more about that tomorrow.
