Volume 17 - Day 143/222, 2025 - Friday

As usual, the day started with a nice walk, although it was warmer than was absolutely necessary. After the walk, I was still tired from my adventures on Thursday, so I took a nice little nap. I got up from the nap and went in to Austin to pick up prescriptions, and made a few stops on the way home; Home Depot to buy six bricks to put under one side of the fence, where there are low spots and the girls (particularly Callie) and the neighbors dogs try to kill each other. I don't mind the barking and growling, but I don't want them sticking their heads under the fence. We will see how that works out. Then a quick trip to HEB for a few things, and then a quick stop at the bank. Once home, I went down for another nap. Paulina, Krisa and Oliver came over at 4 and we went for bar-b-que dinners in Georgetown. Yummy. Book club was tonight, too, and Dick and Marge outdid themselves. This months book was The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, and they went crazy! Marge was dressed up like Dorothy, Richard had on a cowardly lion outfit, and the door prizes were items from the book. I ended up with a heart (clock), a Wizard of Oz Activity Bag, and a souvenir from the lolly pop kids. Much fun. Two estate sales tomorrow, so I will see what I can find that I had no idea I needed. We shall see. Oh yeah, the first house concert of our fifth season is tomorrow night, so stop by if you are in the area. 7 til 9.
