Volume 17 - Day 121/244, 2025 - Thursday

Well, today was a fun day, overall. Up early as usual, and there was 0.92" of rain overnight in the gauge. Paul and Richard and I had a nice walk, and once I was back home, I went down for a nap. I did roust myself up late morning, and took off to Home Depot for three pretty good sized pots for the milk weed plants I bought yesterday. I was looking at the two milk weeds I bought over the weekend, and one of them is getting ready to bloom. That was quick. I did not pot the three plants, I will do that tomorrow. The wall I had built around the back flower bed last week seems to have worked well in the rain, and now I need to get about 10 or 20 square feet of sod to cover up some exposed sprinkler lines, and I expect I can get that done tomorrow. This afternoon, I joined Rick, Nora, Nicole and Shelley at the May Day Hands Off Central Texas March. We walked from the Capitol to City Hall and back. Not sure how many people participated in the march, I was say at least a couple thousand. I definitely got some extra steps in today. On the way home, we stopped in Round Rock for a little dinner, and I made it back to the Curious House by about (:15, We have not had very much rain, I was leery of the predicted storm, but it was not to be. I was mostly concerned about the possibility of hail, but there was none. We are having a spectacular lightning show, and it is interesting to watch it. Very nice.
