Volume 16 - Day 305/61, 2024 - Thursday

It's not only Halloween, it is the last day of October. Of course, those two things happen simultaneously every year, but in some ways, it seems like this year has gone by really quickly, but the month of October drug its' feet. Richard and I walked this morning, and I was (again) disappointed that we had no rain and no cold front. Today was only 85 degrees in central Texas, so I guess that is something. The weather prognosticators are not in agreement about our chances of rain, so that is odd. Maybe yes, maybe no. I got in to the office about 9:30, and got a lot of stuff touched, and left to return to the Curious House about 2. I stopped at Walgreen's on the way home, and bought $30 worth of candy for Halloween. As I recall last year, when I had about six kids stop by, they did not wait until after dark to come by. I was out at 5:30 and gave up at 7, not a single kid. However, my driveway camera showed a couple groups of kids came down the street about 7:30. Apparently, my memory gets worse in the dark, but now I have a bunch of bite sized candies, and I guess it could be a lot worse. November 1st starts tomorrow, people! I hope you are all ready. Before you know it, it will be next year. Don't say I didn't warn you!
