I did have the pleasure of spending some 'quality' time at the trade show late this morning and early afternoon. There are a lot a good vendors there, and there were lots that were really interesting to me. Not of particular 'business' interest to me, but interesting nonetheless was the booth sponsored by the Canadian Association of REALTORS. GREAT, and it made for a pretty darned good photo as well.I have been kind of holding back in my posts the last couple days because, actually, I have been really tired by the time I got around to writing. BUT...one thing I did yesterday for the first time in my life, was to get my shoes shined. I had my shoes shined in the Marriott by a woman named Patrice that has been shining shoes there for the last thirty years. Really! Thirty years of shoe shining, and I bet she makes a pretty darned good living at it. She is very nice, and she does a really good job, too. I HATE POLISHING MY SHOES, and I fear that it shows, but I may just have to begin taking my shoes to the shoe repair shop down the street from my office and have them do it. Patrice said a good shoe shine should last a couple weeks to a month, so maybe that will be the answer. We shall see.
ANYWAY, after this, I will be heading off to a reception, then a dinner and then an after party. Gonna be a lot of fun, but I think it will be a late night.
Not a whole lot going on tomorrow, and that is probably a good thing. Region 10 Caucus and drinks and Diana Ross. Pretty excited about that, so I hope it goes as planned.
