Grub (n) a soft thick wormlike larva of an insect. And that indeed is what I think these little
boogers are. There were a LOT of them under
the bale of hay that was taken out to the cattle this morning. I expect they contain a lot of protein, and
the girls liked them very much. Speaking
of girls, after the coop was cleaned out this morning, I went back to discover
that one of the Silver Laced Wyandotte’s had come to a demise, and it is not
known as of press-time whether it was a natural demise or otherwise. All I know is that one of the girls is no
longer with us. Tonight she is sleeping
in the garbage can, waiting to be put out on the road tomorrow. Poor girl.
This being Sunday, there was a bit of upkeep done today,
most of which concerned cutting of grass.
We did manage to take the Boy Dog for a ride this morning, but other
than that there was no travelling in anything without a cutter or a hay fork or
shredder on it.
Deeds, Actions, Changes, BUGS, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas,
FUN!
