2017 - Day 134/231 - Sunday...Mother's Day...

Person of Size. Hmmm. I was in need of altering my airline ticket for some travel this week, and under the frequently asked questions was the heading "Persons of Size'. I looked up the term on The Googles, and determined that (I guess) I qualify as a 'Person of Size', although not to the extent that I (usually) can get away with only one seat on the airplane. Usually. But, since I have gained a few pounds over the last year or so (eating seems to be my answer to all of life problems), I needed (after I got my ticket changed) to go and purchase a few new shirts. It seems all my weight goes straight to my neck. Whatever. BUT...I went on a shopping expedition today, since I will be meeting up with many of my colleagues this week, and I will on occasion, be in need of a shirt and tie. Without turning blue and/or passing out from the constriction of my carotids and stuff like that. So off I went. Lots of interesting options, and I did manage to pick up a few things. But, the competition is great. I will be up against folks like Kenny, Joe, Seth and Hagan. OMG. To be honest, I think Hagan wore one of these suits in Hawaii a couple months ago, so I did not get that one. But, I do expect to make a splash with my colleagues. I got the shirts, I got the socks...everything else will just have to fall into place. Happy Mother's Day to all you mothers out there. Deeds, Actions, Changes, SUITS, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
