I had a 7 AM appointment to get my car serviced, and found out why I had been repressing memories of rush hour traffic on IH-35. I left the dealership in Round Rock by about 8 o'clock, and I did not get into my office until almost 9:30. Now I remember why I leave the house so early in the mornings. Tomorrow I hope to be back on my 'normal' routine.
I stayed mostly in the office today, although I did a couple drive-bys of properties and did a walk through of another one. Nothing terrible uncovered at any of the properties, so that is always a good result.
This evening I attended a function sponsored by the Austin Chamber of Commerce, honoring their business award winners for the year. A nice event. There really cannot be too many bad things for you in a dessert that looks like this, can there? I didn't think so.There was lightning in Austin tonight, and it was pretty evident in my rear view mirror all the way home. It is actually sprinkling here right now and thundering. We got 0.13" of rain overnight, so maybe there will be some more in the gauge when I wake up in the morning.
Lots of meetings tomorrow; 9 o'clock, 10:30, 11, 2 and 3:30. My day is full up.
