2015 - Day 68/297 - Monday...

Well, it seems the rain event has come to a close, and we have totaled 1.94" of rain in the last two days.  There will be a little more in the gauge tomorrow morning when I empty it, but there is no more rain predicted in the seven day forecast.  The unfortunate thing is that this was another "no rain where we need it" event.  Everything was mainly east of the lakes and reservoirs, so we still are at only about 30% capacity in the lakes.  We still REALLY need rain west of Austin.

The chickens are soggy, the ground is soggy, I was reduced to wearing sensible shoes to the office today.  The fields out here are flooded, there will be no plowing of tractor work for weeks, there is nothing worse than abandoning a tractor in a field.

Deeds, Actions, Changes, WET, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
