2015 - Day 75/290 - Monday...

As Mondays go, this one was superior.  I would venture to guess that about 65% of the central Texas population is observing spring break, so they were not commuting somewhere this morning.  HOWEVER, that percentage of the population has been replaced by a great number of unwashed, grunge types from lands far away.  The only real thing they have going for them is (I assume) disposable income.  The streets are overrun by 'beatniks' and unhealthy types trying their best to transport these aliens via pedi-cabs because (I assume) their rent is coming due in a couple weeks.  When it comes to paying rent in Austin, a heart attack or stroke may be a more dignified alternative than being ousted for non-payment.  Maybe.

Anyway, the corporate types and the celebrity types are all here (although I have not seen any of them, mainly because I am in bed by the time they make it out) and we (okay, I) suspect they are all vampires.  They only come out at night.  A&E has redone a place on Cesar Chavez to resemble the Bates Motel façade, and that is pretty cool (originally reported by Chris).  All kinds of trendy things are trending in central Texas right now, but very little promotion for a good LuAnn Platter.

Deeds, Actions, Changes, SXSW, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
