I had a better photo of this vintage VW (okay, in my opinion), but in reality, it did not show the fabulous eyelashes to their best advantage. I saw this car this afternoon, ran a couple errands, and went back to take a couple photos for this journal entry. I was up and at 'em early this morning, had two appointments in Austin today, one that was right on time, one was delayed until LATE afternoon, but there was no point doing anything but wait. Overall, nothing terrible, and all is well.Jim and Bonnie arrived early this afternoon, all in anticipation of celebrating Joel's birthday tomorrow. It is supposed to be chilly, but warmer tomorrow afternoon. It will be a fun morning and afternoon with a good mix of our friends from here and there.
I also have a couple new poppy photos. The temperature is about 40 degrees lower than the same time yesterday, and the winds out of the north are kind of crazy. There is a fire in the wood stove, and we have turned the heat back on.
