2018 - Day 121/244 - Tuesday...1675...

It was a little bit windy and grey today in central Texas. There was a luncheon at the board for the NAR Broker Involvement Council. We were recruiting Broker in the Austin area to participate in the program, which is meant to increase the participation rate of our national colleagues when there is a Call For Action issued, either by the state or national association. Our guest speaker was Congressman Michael McCaul who represents the Texas 10th District, and is also the Chairman of the House Committee on Homeland Security. It was a very nice luncheon, and the generosity of the Chairman to meet with us was really very nice! We had a good group of attendees, and we were well represented. Interestingly, many of us will be back in his office in a couple weeks, when we go and make our Hill Visit rounds in Washington, DC. That is just a couple weeks away, and it is always a great time, and interesting to present our areas of concern to our elected officials. Before the meeting, we took a tour of our association facility, and this is a photo of me and the Chairman on the roof of the building, checking out some of the solar panels. Our building is Gold LEED Certified, and we are really proud of that fact. If you catch up to me some day, remind me to tell you about the items we reclaimed and reused.

Deeds, Actions, Changes, CHAIRMAN, Kindnesses, Whirled Pesas, FUN!
