We made it into D.C., and pretty soon after that, the airports (both of them) were shut down. We were on the ground for about 45 minutes (maybe) before we got to the gate. We really had no idea there was a storm coming in, and no real sign of it until I got to the hotel and turned on the news. We were going to meet up with a bunch of friends, but it got really bad, so four of us just stayed in the hotel and had a nice dinner. We were joined by a friend from San Antonio (Mary Ann), and we all had a good time. Lots of thunder (you could and can still hear it inside the hotel), some lightning, heavy rain, and a nice early evening in the hotel.
My first meeting is at 8 a.m. in the morning, and it will be a pretty busy day. I really enjoy these Legislative meetings an our nations capital, and they are always really rewarding.
Deeds, Actions, Changes, STORMS, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
