2015 - Day 187/178 - Monday...

The peach tree up by the road that we totally ignore and never pay a minutes attention to has consistently produced really REALLY delicious peaches. We did not plant it up there, and we have always thought it was a terrible place to have planted a tree that needs a certain amount of cultivation, but it always puts out lovely peaches. We got six off it, and there were probably twice that many on the ground waiting for the critters to come and enjoy. That is part of the problem, it is way up by the road, and not in an area that we traverse regularly. And with all the rain we have had this year, you have to risk near drowning situations to get over to it. Take the trees (two apples, two peaches and one plum) that Jody and I planted all neat and orderly behind the house about three years ago. Nothing. Nada. Nope. Nothing. Did I mention nothing? But that tree out front just thrives on abuse, an we appreciate it very much!

When I can home this afternoon, Pauline was out in the back cutting hay. I expect she and Hubert will be raking and maybe even start baling tomorrow or the next day. It will be interesting to see how many bales we get since we added the 30 acres to our spot here on the edge of nowhere.

Life is busy in Austin these days, and I am trying my best to pay attention to all the things that need to be paid attention to. We will see how lucky I am at that!

Deeds, Actions, Changes, NOTHING, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
