My flight today included about 40 (maybe more) Viet Nam (I looked it up, it's two words) veterans heading to the nation's capital for a 36 hour whirl-wind trip. As we were taxiing out, there was a water salute of the plane. That, compared with the honor guard, the bagpipes and all the vets was a pretty impressive sight. Austin Council Woman Ora Houston was on the flight as well, and we had a chance to talk before we all boarded the plane.
I actually got everything on my 'To Done' list checked off before I headed off to the airport. This week will be spent in Washington, DC, going to meet our elected officials and reminding them of the myriad of issues that are important to REALTORS® and property owners. One of our Texas legislators said last week (and I am paraphrasing), you can ignore politics if you would like to, but the politicians will not be ignoring you. So, we all need to be paying attention, and make sure our elected officials know the concerns we have, some of them repeated to them year after year after year.
We will see how it all works out.
Deeds, Actions, Changes, WATER SALUTE, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
