2016 - Day 136/230 - Sunday...

Recapping the last week in Washington, D.C., there is scaffolding on both the exterior and the interior of the Capitol Dome. There were parts that were still visible, but mostly it was scaffolding and tarps on the interior. I did not see any actual workers, but we can only assume that they were behind those tarps somewhere, doing something. It all does make for interesting perspectives to buildings we have see hundreds of times. I remember when there was work going on at the Supreme Court Building, the scaffolding was covered with a copy of the building, kind of like a theatre scrim. Washington, D.C. is a wonderful, exciting place to visit, I expect it would be wonderful place to live, but I will remain happily ensconced here on the edge of nowhere, thank you very much.

Yesterday and overnight, we received 1.44" of rain, and so far there has been nothing but a trace today. There are warnings of severe storms tonight and tomorrow, but the radar forecasts look promising that we will miss the worst of it. Of course, I will be driving right smack into it on my way to the office tomorrow, but that is just how it goes.

Deeds, Actions, Changes, TARPS, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
