2018 - Day 184/182 - Monday...1574...

There are public service announcements airing on the television about the need to make sure wildlife has a dependable supply of water, since we are back in a drought situation. The front fountain is a great gathering place for red winged blackbirds, and any other number of birds in the area. We have water out in many other places for birds, chickens, squirrels, 'possums, Barney the Cat and whatever else may happen past. The blackbirds are also relatively unconcerned with the amount of water they splash out of the fountain, and it is a daily task to refill it so it will last through the day.

Not really an issue.

Well, we are officially half-way through the year. Another day where the temperatures exceeded 100 degrees. 102. One more day, maybe two forecast for the heat, and then, the possibility of rain. Not a lot of rain, but at least some possibility. Interestingly, and I don't generally complain about Holidays, but the Fourth of July is going to be celebrated on the day after tomorrow (the Fourth of July). What a coincidence. BUT, it is in the middle of the week! It is a good way to split up the week, but it would be nicer (IMHO) if it were tacked on to either a Friday or a Monday. Whatever.

Deeds, Actions, Changes, SPLASHERS, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
