The Capital Wheel rises 180 feet above the Potomac River and has a 171 feet 2 9/16 inch diameter. It holds 336 passengers in 42 climate controlled gondolas with each gondola holding 8 people. It weighs 320 tons without the base. It was a busy and long day today, beginning with the General Session this morning. Anna Palmer and Jake Sherman (bloggers and pod casters) were really interesting. It will be fun to see how their forecasts play out. The Trade Expo began at 10, I attended the RPAC Major Investor Council as an observer, and the day finished with an RPAC event and dinner. Then on to the Ferris Wheel. I have actually been on this same wheel several years ago, and not much about it has changed. I have a 7:30 Council meeting tomorrow morning, then visits to the Hill tomorrow afternoon. A couple more meetings on Thursday, and the Board of Directors meeting on Friday. Good stuff. This is me and Tobetha on the Ferris Wheel, and Ben is in there with us somewhere!
