Volume 14 - Day 229/136, 2022 - Wednesday

The Piglet had not paid too much attention to her toy box lately, and I put a new squeaky toy in it about two weeks ago. Suddenly, this evening, she found it, and it has been squeaking ever since. She took it outside with her, and for once, she remembered to bring it back in the house. Out of all the toys available in a pet shop, squeaky toys are the most popular, paws down. They may carry their squeaky toy around for hours or days. This is an instinctual behavior; it is the prey drive that has been retained by canines from their ancestral wolves. It is like the act of hunting and catching prey, and holding onto it until it squeals. You learn something everyday! I had an appointment to take the car in for some computer software upgrades this morning, and I got it back this afternoon. All is good. Otherwise, it was a pretty typical day in the office, with a lot of this-and-that to get done. Tomorrow is expected to be more of the same, and they are threatening a 60% chance of rain tomorrow, with a 'cold front' stalling over Austin. Whatever!
