Day One Hundred Twenty Three...

Confessions of a wanna-be farmer who was raised in the city (not this city, but whatever...). So, early this morning, Jody and I went out to feed the cattle, and we were just talking, watching the cattle and remarking on what a pretty little calf Daphne had last week, and while we were talking, the new little calf had to take a pee...and, well, there is no easy way to say this, but the little bull calf is not a bull calf, it's a her! Yep, the little calf of Daphne's is a heifer calf. Okay, so I am still learning this stuff, and I had not been that close to her, anyway, so whatever...

Today was a pretty good day. Got some stuff cleaned out in the garage, fed the cattle (see above), went to Target and Tractor Supply for some generic shopping, and went to the Collector's Market to price some of the merchandise we have in the shop. We did that for about two hours, and decided we were tired, and came home. We had a bit of lunch and Jody went to take a nap, and I went out and got in the pool. It is really warming up nicely, and it is quite serene in the pool. I took calls and even got a deal negotiated with out even having to get out in the pool. I like to pace when I am negotiating, and it is much nicer to pace in the pool than it is to pace on terra firma! I think it is pretty crazy to take phone calls in the pool, but after all it is Sunday, and at least I was answering the phone.

We went to Fish City Grill for dinner tonight, and that was nice. We always like the food there, and tonight was no exception. Always very well done. On the way home, we explored another new road, and past a couple interesting streets along the way; Blueberry Hill and City Lights Drive. Very interesting, and very nice homes. This is really very nice land out around here.

We had an email from some friends of ours in Mississippi, wondering if we were okay, they had seen there was some severe weather in Texas is now crossing from Louisiana and into Mississippi. They are expecting some bad weather at their house right about now, and I hope they will be okay. They have had enough bad weather the last several years to last a life time.

Have you done your good deed for the day? There is still time, and I know you will be happier once you have taken care of that. Have Fun!
