It i SO hot in central Texas... (How hot is it?). It is so hot, the bees have taken off their yellow jackets. It is so hot, the priests are boiling the hell out of the holy water. It is so hot, every sweaty fat guy smells like bacon. It is so hot, the cows are giving evaporated milk. It is so hot, the chickens are laying hard boiled eggs. It is so hot, the girl dog was chasing the girl cat (and they were both walking). It is so hot, the trees are whistling for the dogs. It is so hot, if the temperature drops below 95 you put on a sweater. It is so hot, okay that is it for me, just come up with your own! As evidence of the heat and the lack of rain, this is a look at the cracked earth between the house an the road. We could really use the rain (refer back, if you please, to the complaints about too much rain about ninety days ago in this journal).
I did get a little bit of work done around the house today. I cut the grass between the house and the first back pasture, and cut the grass (who am I kidding, it was all weeds) in the first pasture. Cutting the weeds back will (my theory) let some sun get to the actual grass, and the weeds will not crowd out the grass. We shall see.
I am going to attempt to clean out the car and the office closet tomorrow, but maybe not. Tomorrow is another day.
Deeds, Actions, Changes, CRACKS, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
