There are hardly ever any wrecks that I get to see while driving down an urban street in Austin. This was taken just after I left the office this afternoon, and I doubt there were any injuries, with the possible exception of the telephone pole and the fire hydrant that you can't see. It would have been a lot more interesting if the fire hydrant had been more properly run-over and caused a great geyser of water. But you can't have everything.There has not been much complaining about the weather lately, but it seems a lot longer than just a week ago that we had such severely cold weather. Recently (okay, the last few days) the skies have been blue and the afternoon temperatures in the 60s and 70s. Overnight, cold temperatures in the 30s and a few 20s.
No earthquakes to be reported nearby, so that is a comfort.
