Miguel got here about 8:30, and I was already out in the front barn, putting another piece of a chicken run together. It did not exactly work out as planned, but it did work out. We now have four distinct chicken areas; one for the smallest chicks (inside the front barn), another for the chicks that are about three weeks old now (a coop and run within a run), a third area for the bigger Silver Laced Wyandottes (a coop within a kennel) and finally the big coop where the big girls roost. We will be rotating chickens for a while, but I think everything is under control for now.
Then we got the cattle fed, worked on the electric fence (I think it is good for a while) and a whole lot of this and that. Miguel even got a lot of the grass cut.
Jody and I had to leave about 12:30 to go into town for Easter Dinner with our friends Michael and Lynda. Their son Josh and his girlfriend Mary Anne were there as well and brought their dog Fancy (all decked out in her Easter finery). This is a picture of Jody, me and Fancy at the dinner table.
It was a combination Easter dinner and a celebration of Jody's birthday (which is actually tomorrow). A delicious dinner and the company was really fine.
This should be a relatively calm week, nothing too much will be going on (I don't think) until next week. It seems there are back-to-back meetings next week.
Deeds, Actions, Changes, HAPPY EASTER, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
