Totally useless trivia for the day: World's one minute rainfall record: July 4, 1956, 1.23 inches of rain fell in Unionville, MD.
In the past 24 hours, we have received approximately (not exactly) 2.72" of rain here on the edge of nowhere (which is further than the middle of nowhere). I do not even think we got past the low 80's, and I think Austin made it to the higher 80's, but I doubt that it hit the 90 degree mark. SUH-WEET! Still supposed to rain some more. Not sure if any of this rainfall made it into the lakes, but it could not hurt, we are happy for whatever we get.
By all accounts, this was Monday, but it was not (by my account anyway) a terrible day. Got some good work done in the morning, went to a mid-day meeting, and then got some good work done in the afternoon. All in all, not a bad showing for a Monday. The fact that it rained off and on is not to be discounted for helping it be a good day.
Anybody you know want a rooster? There was a lot more cock-a-doodle-doing going on outside when I was checking the meters. AND, either Vera is molting or somebody is trying to show her she is not necessarily the boss any more, and if that is the case, I will be showing somebody who is really the boss. So there!!!
Deeds, Actions, Changes, RAIN, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
