Totally useless trivia for the day: There is very little trivia about the television series REVOLUTION, which is currently being filmed in Bartlett, Texas (not far from the edge of nowhere where we live).
After I got home from work this afternoon, we went into Schwertner to help celebrate 100 years of the Schwertner State Bank. We were there along with the crème de la crème of the edge of nowhere society, and could see our Governor off over there in the shade schmoozing with the gentry. We got there about 30 minutes after the start of the activities, and we saw food (but we saw no one WITH food) and there were really no seats to be had, so we left and went into Bartlett for burgers. A fun time was had by all.
We went to Lois an Jerry's for our dinner, and it was good, not as crowded as the celebration had been and there was air conditioning, one of the finer points of indoor activities in July in central Texas. After dinner, we walked across the street and looked at the set they are using for the television show. Pretty interesting. I have decided I am going to sign up to be an extra for a day or two and see what happens. $64 a day for an eight hour day. I kind of think it will be fun. I will report back to you if I get chosen for a street scene or something. The set is coming along nicely, and this is an updated photo for your enjoyment.
I am looking forward to a little bit of extra sleep in the morning,
Deeds, Actions, Changes, BURGERS, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
