2013 - Day 198/167 - Wednesday...

Useless trivia for the day (and remember, you read it here most recently, not necessarily first):
In 1945, a farmer cut the head off a chicken with the intention of killing it and cooking it for dinner. However, after the beheading the chicken was still alive and the farmer had a change of heart. His family fed it with an eyedropper and kept it alive for 18 months. It finally died when it choked on a piece of corn.

So, this is a photo of one of the little cock-a-doodle-doers that are causing a bit of havoc around the place.  Rumor has it (Jody said) that two or three of the Silver Laced Wyandotte's had just about enough of one of them this afternoon and turned the tides on him and chased him off the porch.  There is a lot of bravado coming out of these guys, but perhaps it is all just an act.  I know for sure, I doubt that one (probably both) of them will not be expected to live for 18 months if it/they get their heads handed to them on a paper towel.  You are welcome for the graphic!

Busy day today, but all was good.  It was fun for me and Carrie to meet with Ben, who I had not seen since December, and not sure how long it has been since Carrie saw him.  Working on a web-site reno, and Ben is THE BEST!  Let me know if you are looking!  Busy, busy, busy, etc., etc., etc.

We did get a little bit more rain today, just about 0.07", but it was raining pretty well in Austin this afternoon when I left the office.  According to the Internet when I left, it was 73 degrees in Austin and 88 degrees in Bartlett.  Grey cloudy rainy in Austin, sunny and clearing in Bartlett, but that has changed somewhat in the last few hours.

Deeds, Actions, Changes, COCKS (there, I said it), Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
