Another busy day, but all these busy days are good things! We started out with our PM meeting in the morning, and then I worked to get things ready (or at least started) for an appointment I had at 2PM, and for appointments I have both on Saturday and Sunday. You never know what will come up between now and your appointments, so I always find it best to get as much stuff ready in advance, so you are prepared.
After that, it was time for my Meals-on-Wheels delivery. AND, since I had a noon appointment, the Meals-on-Wheels delivery driver was late. That is what always happens. BUT, today was a bad thing...it seems the regular delivery driver was 'rear-ended' yesterday, and had to go to the doctor. It is believed that he is okay, but they needed to check it out. I hope he is going to be okay. Mr. Stan our meals facilitator was out last week but he was back today, looking very good. He was not ill or anything, he took a bus trip with a group of folks to Oklahoma to one of the Casinos. He got $20 when he arrived to prime the pot, and he did not spend it, so he was ahead of the game. He said he mainly just went to be with his friends, so that was a wonderful thing to do.
My noon appointment was with a former client that is investigating the career opportunities in real estate. I love what I do, and always have. You need to make sure that all the important people in your life understand that the first several years of being a REALTOR may be difficult and time consuming. I think he went off with a good grasp of what he might expect in the industry. If not, he knows where to find me for more Q&A.
Then I had to go to the Post Office to mail off some stuff, and then I headed to my 2 o'clock appointment. I was referred to this Seller Client (yep, walked away with the listing) by a former client, and it was a great meeting. We really hit it off, and he is selling a beautiful home in the 78704 area. More than a zip code, it's a way of life. So, look for this new listing to hit the market tomorrow afternoon. Over 2,800 square feet (according to the county), built in 2003, on the market for $495,000. CALL ME!
After that, I went back to the office for a few minutes, and did a little bit more power real estate. Then it was off to CostCo! We are sponsoring a CRS morning break at the Austin Board of REALTORS in the morning, and I had to stop and get all the goodies. My back seat looks like a drawer in my office...okay, the drawers in my office might have just a little bit more candy than this, but not too much more. Whatever!
Then it was on home. I have been spoiled by leaving a little bit early and going home down IH-35. I went home down MoPac this afternoon, right about in rush hour traffic, and it was HORRIBLE. I never thought I would live to type that IH-35 was better than MoPac, but today it most likely was.
Meatloaf for dinner tonight, and I will be in bed soon.
Tomorrow is the CRS break, then a luncheon in honor of River, one of our assistants that is leaving us to follow her dream. Congratulations to her, and we will miss her. Then I am going to take photos of my new listing, and enter all the information in the MLS. In the middle of all that, I will be preparing for showing properties on Saturday and Sunday.
DONE!
Deeds, Kindnesses, CANDY, Changes, Actions, Whirled Peas, FUN!
