2010 - Day Three Hundred Fifty Eight...

Today has been a really wonderful day of nothingness (for the most part). Got up late, did the rounds, read the paper, drank some coffee. Observed a really pretty sunrise that is not well documented with this photo, but it was a sign of the day to come.

We hardly moved a muscle all day long. the most activity we had was going out to let the chickens loose. We played a game of Scrabble for the first time in this house (over two years), and we both miss playing. At the old farm, we played a game of Scrabble almost every day, and we really liked that, so maybe we will start playing at least a couple times a week, most likely when I do not have to go into the city. Judy beat me by about thirty points, even though he had to skip a turn and turn in some tiles. Whatever...there is always tomorrow.

It actually rained today. The first rain all of this month, and maybe the first significant rain we have had in about three or four months. We measured (at last look) just shy of an inch of rain, so I am going to go ahead and call it an inch. Perfect!

We got six eggs from the girls today...maybe the rain put them in the mood, who knows. We hung around and napped and watched Jeopardy, the watched a little bit of the news, and then headed into Georgetown and had dinner at Montana Mike's. Lovely medium prime rid. Now we are home, I have a glass of wine and a half-slice of triple chocolate cheesecake. If yo happen to be in the neighborhood, stop by, we have desserts coming out the ying-yang.

Tomorrow is Christmas day, we both hope you have a Merry one!

Deeds, Actions, Changes, RAIN, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
