2010 - Day Three Hundred Sixty Three...

Well, hardly any trauma at all in the office today. We were not totally devoid of trauma, but it was a normal day of normal trauma, as opposed to the trauma that reared its' ugly head last night. AND, as is (almost) always the case, everything worked out just the way it was supposed to, and no one got hurt. No one even needed to have any concerns about anything; it just all got taken care of and went away!

I do not think I have given fair coverage of the dog or the cat, especially the cat. I cannot remember EVER having a photo of the cat in this journal. I remember a long while back, there was some mention of the 'queen-cat' when the 'princess cat' arrived, but I do not think there was ever a picture of her. We have had this cat since about 1994 or 1995. She is a foundling, as is most of the really precious stuff in our household. Jody found her way back when, and she was scavenging for food. Making a long story short, she had been shot, abandoned, 'knocked-up' and you name it, whatever can happen to a cat in the wild had pretty much happened to her. She had definitely had a litter of kittens, but we never could find them. No telling whatever happened to them. ANYWAY, she is DEFINITELY Jody's cat, and pretty much just tolerates me. However, this afternoon when I got home from work, she looked exceptionally cute sleeping on the bed, and so I fetched the camera to immortalize her. When we got her (her name is Missy), we had two other cats who have since gone on to that great cat-nip in the sky. This one, however is definitely a cat that prefers to be the 'only' cat. And so she is!

The sun came out this afternoon, and that was absolutely GRAND! I did leave the office a little bit early, and got home at a very reasonable time. I cleaned coals out of the wood stove, and got another fire started. We don't really need a fire right now, but we will overnight, so it is good to have it going now.

Jody got SIX eggs from the girls this afternoon, and we are pretty surprised about that. We love eggs, and that is really a good thing! We get plenty of eggs!

Tired, so that is it for now.

Deeds, Actions, Changes, LITTLE GIRL CATS, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
