Jody and I took a drive this morning so the dog could have something to bark at. We came upon a couple really pretty fields of wildflowers. There are LOTS more Bluebonnets this year than there were last year, and that is always lovely. PLUS, there was a really pretty field of poppies, so close your eyes and pretend you are in the Wizard of Oz.
Jody's birthday is also tomorrow, and we will head into Georgetown to have lunch with our friends Lynda and Michael. I also expect we will stop by HEB on the way home to pick up a couple more plants. We have no idea what they are, but they were a beautiful purple color, and they will look nice at the front door.
My friend Steve is a rider (once again) for the Hill Country Ride for AIDS. The Hill Country Ride for AIDS is an annual cycling event that rolls through beautiful Central Texas. Riders and volunteers provide life saving support for thousands of Central Texans living with HIV/AIDS by raising money for 10 local nonprofit organizations. It’s a Ride, not a race, and the riders choose the distance that best suites them up to 100 miles. So far, Steve has raised over $4,300 and his goal is $5,000. This is the link to Steve's Fundraising page:

If you get a chance, click on the link and donate a couple hundred dollars (okay or a couple dollars) to help him out. These riders are TRUE HEROES, and Steve is very deserving of your support. AND, your donations are tax deductible (enter disclaimer here).
It will make you feel good to make a donation, so go ahead, and tell him Billy Bob sent you!
Deeds, Actions, Changes, BLUEBONNETS, Kindnesses, Whirled Peas, FUN!
