The Ukrainian flag as it is today was raised in June, 1848. In the USSR, the combination of colors was prosecuted as a dangerous crime. The flag accompanied the proclamation of Ukrainian independence in 1917, 1941 and 1990, and now, the war with Russia. You can see the Ukrainian flag in places you would not expect it, here in central Texas. I have seen it in several yards in the close-by neighborhoods, and this afternoon, on the way home, there was this giant on flying off MoPac. Very nice. It was a good day today, not much of any interest , and if you read this journal with any regularity, you know everything I did today, so there is no reason to repeat it. I'm looking forward to the weekend!
